The excellence of Venetian craftsmanship

Visiting Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua is possible. It’s a unique chance to see weavers and looms at work, while they produce the refined soprarizzo velvet, and to touch with your own hands a fabric made following ancient techniques. Later on, you will visit an artisan workshop in Santa Croce district, where the owner carries out interventions on gilding, lacquering and restoration of objects in wood, plaster or other materials. Artisans restores priceless splendor to frames, incisions and decorative elements for Venetian gondolas. They also gives courses in their workshop on gilding techniques such as gouache and oil gilding.
